'Both Solo' was a poem written in my teen years about unrequited young love with a musician that later inspired the drawing. 
 
'Portrait of a City Spirit' was written in my early years of living in Prince George. Coming from the Kootenays the abundant destruction of land by industry was heartbreaking. The sketch was made shortly after the poem came to life.
